Australian Community Industry Standard (ACIS) Auditing
Australian QC provides ACIS certification, surveillance and recertification audits for community service providers. Contact us to request an audit quote.
| Audit | Who and when | What we assess |
|---|---|---|
| Initial certification | Providers seeking ACIS certification. We arrange the audit after your application and scope review. | Your self-assessment and documents, then how the service works in practice through site visits, records and interviews. |
| Surveillance | Certified providers. Must take place within 18 months of the most recent certification audit. | Corporate governance, clinical governance, previously identified nonconformities, and additional standards selected according to risk and past findings. |
| Recertification | Certified providers nearing the end of their three-year certification. Plan early so the audit is finished before expiry. | A fresh assessment against ACIS requirements, including changes to services and evidence the standard is still being followed. |
Getting started
Complete your ACIS application and self-assessment with ACIA. Send us our Audit Application: NDIS and ACIS form, with your ACIA reference and self-assessment if available. We review your scope and send you a quote.

Australian QC is JAS-ANZ accredited to provide ACIS certification audits.
How audits are conducted
Audits include document reviews, interviews and on-site assessment. Any remote activities must meet scheme requirements and be approved by Australian QC.
Independence
Australian QC does not provide consultancy and is not affiliated with any consultant. This keeps our ACIS audits independent and impartial.
Who ACIS applies to
ACIS audits cover community support services for clients who are funded by a scheme funder or are privately funded. ACIA currently lists these scheme funders: icare (NSW), Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB, Tasmania), Lifetime Support Authority (LSA, South Australia), Transport Accident Commission (TAC, Victoria), Comcare, and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). Contact us to confirm how the scheme applies to your services.
How much an ACIS audit costs
Audit fees depend on your services, locations and required assessment scope. ACIA’s scheme fees are separate. Contact us for a quote.
Transferring an existing certification
Contact us with your current certificate and recent audit reports. We will check whether you can transfer and explain the next steps.
